4x4 Program
Preparation. Integration. Continuity of Care.
Four sessions to prepare. Four sessions to integrate.
4x4 Programming is a structured psychotherapy framework designed to support individuals before and after intensive therapeutic, retreat, or psychedelic-assisted treatment experiences.
Developed with the needs of Veterans & First Responders, and others navigating trauma in mind, the program provides continuity of psychological care around experiences that can be deeply meaningful, challenging, or transformative.
Why do we have the 4x4 Program?
4x4 Programming provides dedicated psychotherapy before and after treatment so participants have the opportunity to prepare intentionally, develop psychological resources, process what emerges, and translate their experience into meaningful changes in everyday life.
4 Integration Sessions
Process the experience, explore emerging insights, work with difficult material, and help translate what was learned into sustainable changes in relationships, identity, behaviour, and daily life.
Veteran & First Responder Focus
The program was developed with an understanding of military and first responder cultures, including operational stress, occupational trauma, reintegration, transition from service, and the unique barriers these communities may encounter when seeking support.
4 Preparation Sessions
Build safety, establish intentions, understand expectations, explore relevant history, strengthen coping strategies, and prepare for difficult or unexpected emotional material.
Trauma-Informed Care
Our clinicians understand that trauma can involve more than fear-based symptoms. Therapy may explore PTSD, moral injury, grief, shame, survivor's guilt, identity disruption, chronic pain, addiction, and experiences that can be difficult to put into words.
Individualized Support
There is no predetermined meaning that a participant is expected to take from an experience. Our role is to help each person safely explore what arose and determine what is meaningful and useful to them.
When appropriate and with the client's consent, our clinicians can collaborate with existing therapists, physicians, treatment providers, retreat programs, and other members of an individual's circle of care.
