About Stanely
Stanley Kment, MA, CCC, OCT, is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Ontario Certified Teacher who takes a collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based approach to therapy. He creates an open and supportive environment where clients can feel heard, better understand their experiences, and identify practical strategies for creating meaningful change. Stanley believes that therapy should build upon each person’s existing strengths while helping them develop greater confidence, self-awareness, and resilience.
Stanley supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, addiction and substance use, emotional-regulation difficulties, anger, panic, phobias, obsessive-compulsive concerns, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. He helps clients understand the thoughts, emotions, behavioural patterns, and physiological stress responses that may be contributing to feelings of overwhelm or keeping them stuck. Together, Stanley and his clients develop personalized coping strategies that support greater stability, motivation, and progress toward their goals.
His experience as an Ontario Certified Teacher also informs his work with preteens, teens, students, and adults experiencing ADHD, school or academic stress, learning-related challenges, motivation difficulties, career uncertainty, and the pressures associated with work or education. Stanley integrates practical problem-solving with a holistic understanding of each client’s personal, relational, educational, and cultural circumstances. He offers counselling in English, French, and Italian.
